Terms of Service

These Terms of Service set out the basis on which Ridgeway Roofing & Repairs provides roofing surveys, quotes, repairs and installation services. By booking a survey, accepting a quote or engaging us to carry out work, you agree to these terms.

1. Business details

  • Ridgeway Roofing & Repairs, Unit 12, Bridgeview Business Park, 1 Bridge Street, Dublin 8, D08 W2F3, Ireland
  • 01 691 2345
  • hello@ridgewayroofing.ie

2. Quotes and surveys

Surveys and quotes are based on visual inspection and the information available at the time. Hidden defects may be discovered once work begins (for example, rotten timbers under coverings, damaged underlay, or concealed water paths). If additional work is required to complete the job safely and correctly, we will discuss options and provide a revised scope and price before proceeding, unless immediate action is needed to make the property safe or prevent significant damage.

Quotes are typically valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise.

3. Scheduling and weather

Roofing work is weather dependent. We may need to reschedule for safety or to protect the quality of the installation. We will communicate changes as early as reasonably possible and offer the next available dates.

4. Access and site conditions

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to the property and the work area, including access to power or water if needed. You must inform us of any hazards or restrictions (for example, fragile roof lights, known structural issues, asbestos-containing materials, or aggressive pets). We may pause or decline work if conditions are unsafe.

5. Variations and additional work

Any change to the agreed scope is a variation. Variations may affect price and timeline. We aim to confirm variations in writing. In urgent situations where immediate action is required to prevent damage or ensure safety, we may proceed with necessary protective works and document what was done.

6. Pricing and payment

Prices are stated in euro unless noted otherwise. Payment terms are set out on the quote or invoice. For larger projects, staged payments may apply. Late payments may result in paused work or delayed scheduling. We do not charge interest by default, but we reserve the right to recover reasonable costs incurred in collecting overdue amounts.

7. Guarantees and warranties

We provide written guarantees on workmanship where stated. Manufacturer warranties may apply to materials and systems used. Guarantees do not cover damage caused by third parties, extreme events beyond reasonable design limits, lack of maintenance (such as blocked gutters), or unauthorised modifications after completion.

If you believe there is an issue with completed work, contact us promptly so we can assess and, where applicable, remedy under the terms of the guarantee.

8. Emergency and temporary works

Emergency callouts may involve temporary measures to make the roof safe and limit water ingress. Temporary works are not the same as a permanent repair and may require follow-up to fully resolve the issue.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under Irish law. Subject to that, our liability for loss or damage is limited to the value of the services provided in the relevant job, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit.

Roofing involves working at height and interacting with existing building fabric. While we take reasonable care, we cannot be responsible for pre-existing defects or hidden conditions not reasonably detectable at the survey stage.

10. Cancellations

If you need to cancel or reschedule a booked date, please give as much notice as possible. For customised or specially ordered materials, you may be responsible for costs already incurred. We aim to be fair and transparent and will confirm any applicable charges before proceeding.

11. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a concern, contact us first so we can investigate and put things right. We will respond within a reasonable time and aim to resolve issues quickly. These Terms are governed by Irish law and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page. For ongoing projects, the terms in effect at the time of quote acceptance will apply unless both parties agree otherwise.
